Thermal Management Solutions by VOSS

Optimum battery temperature control is indispensable for maximum power and range of electric and hybrid vehicles. In order to reliably ensure a constant temperature level, the battery must be cooled or heated accordingly. VOSS solutions include the development and manufacture of ready-to-install lines and their components such as sensors, valves, manifolds and connection systems.

VOSS develops and manufactures customized thermal management modules for the individual optimization of cooling circuits. Our products are tailored to each individual model variant of hybrid and electric vehicles.

Standard solutions (e.g. SAE and VDA) are often used to connect fuel, SCR and thermal management lines. For example, when it comes to responding to tight assembly space or assembly conditions or meeting special requirements, they quickly reach their limits. For this we have developed the quick connect system 246 ^NX, which is not only suitable for special conditions of use, but always offers the best solution.

The couplings of the VOSS quick connect systems 270 and 270 ^DL enable a fast and secure connection of coolant lines, in the thermal management of electric vehicles and in energy storage systems.

The VOSS quick connect systems 271 and 271 ^DL enable a fast and secure connection of coolant lines, in the thermal management of electric vehicles and in energy storage systems.

VOSS quick connect systems 272 is a function-optimized version of the multi-million-selling quick connect system 270. These couplings also enable a rapid and reliable connection of coolant lines, in the thermal management of electric vehicles and in energy storage systems.

As flow stop valves, mechanically actuated thermal management valves prevent the escape of coolant as soon as the valve is not connected to a counter-contour. In multi-way valve variants, they enable the switching of different routings of the medium.

Pressure-actuated valves fulfill essential functions in thermal management systems such as test, filling, venting and drainage valves.

In thermal management, temperature-responsive valves are ideal for regulating the flow by opening and closing in response to temperature changes. VOSS has introduced innovative, standalone solutions in this area.

For precise flow and temperature control in thermal management systems, electrically actuated valves are the ideal solution. They allow the needs-based division and proportional mixing of several flows in complex circuits.

VOSS temperature sensors detect the temperature in fluid systems, such as thermal management or fuel systems. They can easily be integrated into VOSS quick connect systems and modules as well as into customer-specific components.

Manifolds and connectors for cooling plate and immersion cooling are often customized developments. VOSS relies on its own quick connect systems with their special connecting profiles or is based on the customer's requirements or concrete specifications.

Together with our partners Amphenol-Tuchel Electronics and the GG Group, we are developing the world’s first vehicle-side, actively cooled high-voltage charging harness. The system combines the high-performance Power2Flow® charging cable, the optimized standard CCS2 charging socket CHARGESOK®, the high-voltage battery connection POWERSOK®, and a sophisticated, integrated thermal management system – perfectly tuned for maximum efficiency. The architecture is designed for the next generation of high-performance charging platforms.

The VOSS quick connect system 275 ^VDA is a robust plastic coupling with a connection according to SAE J3207 (VDA standard) for the fir-tree connection of plastic tubes. It is ideal for the secure and quick connection of thermal management lines in passenger cars and commercial vehicles.
