Appreciation as a Living Tradition: VOSS Honors 34 Long-Serving Employees
Wipperfürth, April 27, 2026 – As part of its 47th annual Long-Service and Retirees’ Gathering, VOSS once again honored the long-standing loyalty of its employees in a festive setting. The event brought together 245 current and former employees and was centered around gratitude, solidarity, and the company’s history.
985 Years of Company Loyalty
A total of 34 employees were recognized, collectively representing 985 years of service. Among them, 25 employees celebrated their 25th anniversary with the company this year, while nine employees marked 40 years of service.

The close connection to the region and to its employees has characterized VOSS for decades. The company’s headquarters has been based in Wipperfürth for more than 95 years and, with around 1,200 jobs, is an important part of the local economy. At the same time, VOSS stands for long-term prospects and individual development opportunities that accompany many employees throughout large parts of their careers.
Ceremonial Honors and Personal Exchange
During the event, the company’s management personally congratulated the honorees and presented certificates from the Cologne Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK) as a token of appreciation. Employees with 40 years of service also received the Hermann Voss commemorative medal.
The significance of this event dates back many years: Hans Hermann Voss, son of the company’s founder, already placed great importance on visibly recognizing loyalty and commitment. The annual Long-Service and Retirees’ Gathering continues to this day as an expression of this tradition.
In addition to the official honors, the evening provided space for personal conversations, shared memories, and intergenerational exchange. A joint dinner and musical accompaniment rounded off the event in a warm and celebratory atmosphere.
