Our responsibility towards the environment and climate

As a global company, we are mindful of our responsibility towards the environment. That is why we examine the impact of our business activities and pursue specific environmental and climate protection targets. We provide transparent information about our activities, targets and progress in our annual Consolidated Sustainability Report.

Responsibility as Our Driving Force

Enable, Create and Care form three interconnected dimensions of our business activities. They apply to our use of resources and processes, as well as our responsibility towards employees, partners, society and the environment.

Together, these three interlinked dimensions form the framework within which we bring these issues together at VOSS1.

 

Sustainability is not a state, but a journey. With clear goals, we take step by step what drives us: taking responsibility for people, products and the environment. Our goals provide orientation and make our progress measurable.

  • Sustainable Procurement Principles

    We focus on close collaboration with sustainable partners to develop innovative products and make the most of synergies. At the same time, we actively promote sustainability across the entire value chain, thereby making a holistic contribution to the environment, society and our customers.

  • Comprehensive Energy Management

    All of our production sites are ISO 50001 certified. With a clear focus on real-time energy consumption data, we improve our decision-making foundations while creating more scope for targeted, sustainable measures.

  • Climate-Neutral Production

    Our goal is to achieve worldwide climate neutrality in scopes 1 and 2 by 2035. To this end, we rely on innovative technologies that reduce resource consumption in the long term, making a sustainable contribution to the environment and society.

  • Climate-Neutral Products

    Starting in 2039, we will offer our first climate-neutral product families, with the goal of extending this to our entire portfolio by 2045.

  • Occupational Health and Safety

    All of our production sites are ISO 45001 certified. In addition, we rely on occupational health management and other initiatives that actively promote the well-being and safety of our employees.

  • Support from the Hans Hermann VOSS Foundation

    The Hans Hermann VOSS Foundation, owner of the VOSS Group, supports numerous social and charitable projects at the company’s locations and in the surrounding region. Through its engagement, the foundation promotes education, vocational training, youth and senior initiatives, and actively contributes to strengthening local communities.
