VOSS at Stadtradeln Wipperfürth 2025: Pedaling Together for Sustainability
Sustainability starts with small everyday actions – such as commuting to work or going shopping. The “Stadtradeln” campaign brings this idea into focus: for three weeks, teams around the world collect kilometers on their bikes to save CO₂, promote health, and showcase the joy of cycling. Since 2008, the competition has encouraged people to choose their bikes over cars more often.
In 2025, Wipperfürth once again joined this campaign, underlining the city's commitment to cycling within its mobility strategy. From July 21 to 29, a total of 625 dedicated Wipperfürth residents formed 33 diverse teams to pedal for a greener future.
The “VOSS Biker” Team: Team Spirit and Endurance on the Winners’ Podium
Among them were our very own “VOSS Biker- team. Made up of 96 colleagues, the team showed impressive dedication: whether commuting to work or taking part in multi-day cycling tours, they rode more than 25,000 kilometers together. This outstanding achievement resulted in approximately 4,177 kilograms of CO₂ saved.
The awards ceremony for Stadtradeln took place at this year’s city festival. The “VOSS Biker”-team proudly took home two silver medals – in the categories “Largest Number of Participants” and “Most Total Kilometers”
