VOSS Awarded as “Innovative Product Provider 2025”

VOSS has now been recognized for exactly this. The SZ Institute awarded us the top score of 100 points in the study “Innovative Product Provider 2025” in the category Automotive Suppliers 40 percent for innovation strength and 20 percent each for technology, quality, and product novelty.

We are proud of this recognition because it confirms our direction. Two current examples from VOSS illustrate how engineering expertise and market understanding come together in our work:
With our sensor- and AI-driven wearable ClickID, we enhance process reliability and efficiency in manual assembly. At the same time, our liquid-cooled high-voltage charging harness enables faster and more convenient everyday charging providing real relief in the daily use of electric vehicles.

ClickID: Intelligent Real-Time Quality Assurance

ClickID is an AI-supported sensor glove designed for quality assurance in manual assembly processes. This intelligent wearable monitors the assembly of connectors and clips in real time. Using audio and motion sensors, the system recognizes both the characteristic “click” of a correctly seated connection and the associated movement, providing immediate visual and haptic feedback to the user.

The integrated artificial intelligence analyzes every assembly attempt and identifies optimization potential. The result: assembly errors are detected and corrected instantly. This solution ensures stable production processes, higher efficiency, and significantly reduced error rates. More details on ClickID can be found in our blog article.

 

Liquid-Cooled Charging Harness: A Gamechanger for Ultra-Fast Charging

Our second innovation addresses one of the key challenges of electromobility: long charging times. To ensure that charging takes only marginally longer than a conventional refueling process, the right technology is required. Together with Amphenol-Tuchel Electronics and the GG Group, we have developed a vehicle-side, liquid-cooled high-voltage charging harness based on the CCS2 standard that enables charging power of up to one megawatt.

At its core is a multi-layer plastic heat exchanger combined with established VOSS connector systems through which a coolant flows. In this way, the charging harness provides sufficient cooling directly from the charging inlet to the battery interface. Areas subject to the highest thermal loads are effectively relieved, allowing the conductor cross-section to be reduced by up to 70 percent while simultaneously increasing current-carrying capacity.

The result: compared to conventional high-power cables, the charging harness is lighter, more flexible, and easier to assemble. Ultra-fast charging processes in under five minutes thus become feasible for real-world applications.
